INTERVENTION APPROACHES OF STIGMA RELATED TO TUBERCULOSIS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Considerable efforts and concurrent studies have been made to substantiate the control of tuberculosis (TB). The was not achieved significantly, as stigma is one significant barriers controlling tuberculosis. It hampers TB treatment’s determined targeted completion. However, despite countless measures improve therapy completion, non-adherence remains a global issue. This systematic review aimed at evaluating tuberculosis-related increase adherence treatment among patients with in developing countries. A search electronic databases (PubMed, Google Scholar, Pro-Quest science Direct, Ovid, Spring, Global Health, Cochrane) covering articles published between 2003 2019 carried out using truncated words such “tuberculosis-related stigma,” Stigma,” “intervention,” “treatment adherence,” compliance" "developing countries." We included information from countries addressing their anti-stigma intervention. Eight hundred sixty-seven retrieved, 346 excluded due duplication, 397 other non-relevant title screening stage. Subsequently, after full-text were assessed for failing meet inclusion criteria, 118 excluded, only six remained. improved outcomes intervention, including health education counseling, club self-support, psychological support interventions.
